AAUW Voter Education Campaign After the 1994 elections, women quickly realized that critical issues - educational equity, health care, civil rights, workplace equity, reproductive choice, and welfare reform - were seriously threatened by the congressional majority leadership. Decades of progress were at stake. In response, AAUW launched its national Voter Education Campaign. The Campaign is involved with a variety of public policy actions in areas including civil rights, education, family and medical leave, pay equity, reproductive rights, and social security and welfare reform. |
