The AAUW Philadelphia Branch invites you to become a member! AAUW is open to all graduates who hold an associate or equivalent, baccalaureate or a higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university. In principle and in practice AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership. There shall be no barriers to full participation in this organization on the basis of gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin or disability. Special student affiliate memberships are available for those who have not yet completed their degree at $17 per year. |

Membership means community! AAUW is actively involved in promoting equity for all women and girls, lifelong education, and positive societal change. Joining the AAUW Philadelphia Branch connects you to a strong network of dedicated women in the Philadelphia area. Among our many activities, we hold expert lectures on current topics, host learning and activism meetings and participate in policy discussions in the community. As a member, you are invited to participate in all our programs, provide input to Branch activities, and attend state and national AAUW conventions.
When you join AAUW, you also become a part of the International Federation of University Women, which holds meetings every three years. |

Membership in the Philadelphia Branch includes You will receive the outstanding National AAUW Association publications, AAUW Outlook and AAUW in Action, the AAUW PA Keystoner, the Philadelphia Branch annual Handbook and Directory, and our monthly newsletter, the AAUW Philadelphia Bulletin, which includes program and meeting information, articles on relevant issues, and Branch announcements. |

Student Affiliate Groups The Student Affiliate Group was officially created in the 2002-03 school year. There are typically four meetings each year, two per semester, which students can attend to discuss relevant topics. In addition, student members may attend all branch functions and meetings. Dues are $17 for both undergraduate and graduate students. |

Dues Regular member dues for the 2008-09 year (July 1, 2008 - June 30, 2009) are $82, divided as follows: $49 to the Association, $10 to AAUW-PA and $23 to the Philadelphia Branch. Student Affiliate dues are $17 for the year.

Tax Disclaimer AAUW dues are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes, but may be deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses. Separate contributions to the Educational Foundation and to the Legal Advocacy Fund are deductible as regular charitable contributions. Contact the office for more details. |
